Waste Protocols Project
This consultation website has been set up so you can take part in the consultations on the quality protocols for various waste materials. The website also allows you to find out more about the Waste Protocols project and to view documents.
The following consultation is currently open for submitting responses:
- Quality Protocol for the production and use of gypsum from waste plasterboard: 28 October to 22 January 2009.
- Quality Protocol for the production of pulverised fuel ash (PFA) and furnace bottom ash (FBA) for use in construction and manufacturing: 8 September to 19 January 2009 (consultation period has been extended, amendments to consultation will follow in due course)

Additional Quality Protocol consultation - Waste lubricating oil
The Environment Agency has launched a consultation on the Quality Protocol for the production and use of processed fuel oil from waste lubricating oil. This consultation is hosted on a separate website (http://wloqp.dialoguebydesign.net/ - opens in a new window). You can use the login details from one website to log in on the other website.
The Waste Protocols Project is a Business Resource Efficiency project funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). It is a joint Environment Agency and WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) initiative in collaboration with industry.
